MN Timberwolves Owner Goes To Packer Playoff Game, Catches Flak

Alex Rodriguez was spotted wearing a Green Bay Packers hat at Lambeau Field on Saturday. Minnesotans were not happy.

MINNEAPOLIS — Alex Rodriguez, the new co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, still has a thing or two to learn about our way of life in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

For starters, we take all of our sports very seriously.

So when Rodriguez shared a video of himself on Twitter wearing a Green Bay Packers hat and cheering on the Green and Gold at Lambeau Field on Saturday, Minnesotans were not thrilled.

Minnesotans on Twitter were not shy in their response. "What a way to endear yourself to MN fans," read one of the many replies. "Sell the team to Kevin Garnett."

"Oh no Arod. This is blasphemy as an owner of the Wolves, may God help you in these times. You're gonna get lit up," read another.

In his defense, the former New York Yankee said he's always wanted to visit Lambeau and viewed it as a "bucket list" item, and that he was trying to "reverse jinx" the Packers into a loss.

The Packers did lose in a historic fashion, so Vikings can be happy about that.
