MN Weather: Cooler Weekend Ahead

TWIN CITIES, MN — A cooler weekend will be had in the Twin Cities metro this weekend. The good news is it will be mostly dry.

More seasonal temperatures will return by Thursday.

"Lingering showers will taper off this morning," the National Weather Service said Friday.

"Breezy westerly winds with gusts up to 30mph are possible this afternoon. Much cooler temperatures arrive in time for the weekend. A return to near normal temperatures is expected by midweek."

Friday: Cloudy, with a high near 64. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
