Thursday storm should only provide a light dusting of snow for residents of the Twin Cities. That system will hit northern Minnesota much harder.

"But a minor shift north in storm track of even 30 miles would increase snowfall totals in the Twin Cities."

A winter storm watch has already been issued for Dakota County. More watches and warnings could be issued for the metro as the storm approaches.
