MN Weather: Inch Of Snow Possible For Parts Of Twin Cities Metro

Light snow is working its way across central Minnesota Tuesday morning.

TWIN CITIES, MN — There will be several more chances for snow this week in the Twin Cities metro area.

On Tuesday, a system will cross parts of central Minnesota, including the south metro suburbs.

"The best chance of an inch or more of snowfall will occur along the Minnesota River Valley, and the southern Twin Cities Metro," the National Weather Service said.

Here's the full NWS forecast for the Twin Cities metro area:

Tuesday: Snow before 3pm, then a chance of flurries between 3pm and 4pm. High near 21. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 26. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 27 by 4am. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: A slight chance of snow, mixing with rain after 10am, then gradually ending. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Friday: Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 33. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Friday Night: Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. North northeast wind around 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Saturday: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 16. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
