MN Weather: Rainy Weekend, Hot Start To Next Week

TWIN CITIES, MN — There will be several chances for rain from Friday through Monday. However, things will really heat up on Tuesday, when the high is 94.

"Multiple chances for rain over the next few days with Friday night into Saturday morning looking the most likely," the National Weather Service said.

"Thunderstorms may redevelop Saturday afternoon across southern MN. One or two storms may be strong. Much warmer temperatures are likely early next week."

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers between 2am and 4am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7am and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
