MN Weather: When Will The Snow Melt?

TWIN CITIES, MN — The remaining snow that fell Wednesday in the Twin Cities should be gone by this weekend when the high temperatures will hover around 50 degrees.

"Skies will gradually clear out today with sunshine this afternoon as temperatures warm closer to normal through the weekend," the National Weather Service said.

"A few small chances for precipitation are present through the weekend, but no major systems are expected until a potential system arrives by the early to middle part of next week."

Thursday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 40. North northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight.

Friday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 50. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: A 10 percent chance of snow before 7am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. West northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
