MN Weather: Wind Chills To Hit -31 In Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesotans should be prepared for dangerously cold weather this week. Wind chill values are expected to fall as low as 31 degrees below zero. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory that will be in effect from 9 p.m Monday through 10 a.m. Wednesday.

"Very cold air will return today and remain through Wednesday morning," the National Weather Service said.

"Wind chills of -30 to -40 are expected tonight and Tuesday night, with the coldest values in the Wind Chill Warning."

Monday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 10. Wind chill values as low as -11. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
