Watch: 5,000 Gathered to Protest Trump Order in Minneapolis
Minneapolis police estimated that about 5,000 people protested in Minneapolis Tuesday night.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minneapolis police estimated that about 5,000 people protested in Minneapolis near the federal courthouse Tuesday night. The protest was a demonstration against President Donald Trump's most recent executive order on immigration.
Update: 6:20 p.m. – Minneapolis police estimate that about 5,000 people are currently protesting in Minneapolis Tuesday night. Hennepin Avenue is currently open for vehicle traffic in both directions.

5:45 p.m. – Minneapolis police and a Hennepin County Medical Center ambulance responded to a medical incident in the protest group. Police say there was an intoxicated male who was transported to the hospital.
The protest group has started marching northbound on 3rd Avenue towards Washington Avenue. Traffic on Washington will be closed in both directions.

The protest group is expected to march from the federal courthouse towards Hennepin Avenue and 4th Street and then back to the courthouse.
4:57 p.m. – Police say northbound traffic on 3rd Avenue South is closed at 6th Street South. Police are telling motorists to use 5th Avenue South as an alternate route.
4:40 p.m. – The Minneapolis Police Department said on Twitter that it is monitoring a large protest occurring at the Federal Courthouse in Minneapolis. Police said traffic is closed on 4th Street South from 2nd Ave South.
The Federal Courthouse is located at 300 S 4th St #202, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Police say motorists should use 6th Street and 8th Street as alternate routes.
