POLL: Most, Not All In Twin Cities Metro Trust Biden's Election

A new poll shows that Minnesotans are divided when it comes to the results of the 2020 presidential election.

TWIN CITIES METRO, MN — A new poll finds that residents across the Twin Cities metro area are divided when asked whether President Joe Biden was legitimately elected in 2020.

A poll conducted by Star Tribune, MPR News, KARE 11 and FRONTLINE asked Minnesotans; "Do you believe that Joe Biden did or did not legitimately win the 2020 presidential election?"

In Hennepin and Ramsey County:

  • 77 percent of respondents believe that Joe Biden's election win was legitimate
  • Another 15 said it was not legitimate
  • 8 percent said they were not sure

In the rest of the Twin Cities metro:

  • 52 percent of respondents believe that Joe Biden's election win was legitimate
  • Another 30 said it was not legitimate
  • 18 percent said they were not sure

There is even more doubt in the election across rural Minnesota. In southern Minnesota, for example, fifty percent of residents believe that Biden's election win was legitimate. " Another 26 percent said it wasn't, and 18 percent said they were "Not sure."
