MINNEAPOLIS—ST. PAUL AIRPORT, MN — Powerful storms are affecting travel across the country as 4.5 million Americans fly to Thanksgiving destinations, including a snowstorm set for Minnesota Tuesday night.

Millions of Thanksgiving travelers are already hung up at airports after their flights were canceled Tuesday as the first of two storm systems continued to move through the Rockies, Great Plains and Great Lakes. Denver International Airport, a major hub, canceled more than 450 flights Tuesday morning, and that could affect travel to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP).

According to MSP, so far only Delta Airlines has issued a weather waiver for Minneapolis. That may change as a significant snowstorm barrels down on Minnesota Tuesday night.
