"Snow will break out across western Minnesota this afternoon and spread northeast through the night," the National Weather Service said.

TWIN CITIES, MN — A snowstorm is set to arrive in central Minnesota Sunday night. The Minneapolis-St. Paul metro is projected to see 2-4 inches of snow.
"Snow will break out across western Minnesota this afternoon and spread northeast through the night, ending late tonight," the National Weather Service said Sunday.
However, there will be rain in the mix as well.

Sunday Night: Rain and snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 4am, then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain. The snow could be heavy at times. Patchy blowing snow between 10pm and midnight. Low around 26. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a temperature falling to around 16 by 5pm. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Monday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 3. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east after midnight.
Tuesday: Snow, mainly after noon. High near 21. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
