St. Patrick's Day 2018: How To Ride For Free In The Twin Cities
Avoid a DWI this weekend with the help of Metro Transit and Miller Lite.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — An American beer company is helping Minnesotans celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Twin Cities responsibly by giving free rides. Miller Lite will provide rides Saturday, March 17 on all Metro Transit bus and light-rail routes, as well as the Northstar commuter train beginning at 6 p.m. until 3 a.m.
“We’re proud to provide Miller Lite Free Rides in the Twin Cities for the 22nd year, a program that has provided more than 1 million Free Rides, and encourage everyone out celebrating to take advantage of this free and convenient program” Diane Wagner of MillerCoors said in a statement. “Along with our partners, we’re making it easy to plan ahead for a safe ride home.”
Here's how to ride with no cost this weekend:
Customers can ride free from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. on all Metro Transit routes – buses, METRO lines and Northstar. Simply hop on and take a seat for free.

If you're celebrating that night – or want to avoid driving alongside those who are – riding the bus or train is a worry-free and safe alternative. Free rides will also be available on Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, SouthWest Transit and Anoka Transit routes.
