Test Your Grit at the Headwaters Relief Disaster Dash 2015

Charity benefit race offers real-world experience in disaster preparedness, relief and recovery.

Test your grit in the face of disaster at Headwaters Relief’s Disaster Dash 2015 on Saturday, September 19, 2015. This one-of-a-kind race will test your physical and mental prowess in disaster relief and recovery. All proceeds go to Headwaters Relief Organization, a local nonprofit providing disaster relief including mental health support for victims.

The Disaster Dash 2015 offers competitors real-world experience in responding to a natural disaster. Competitors will compete individually or in teams over a two-mile course featuring six different disaster recovery obstacles. Challenges include tearing down drywall, carrying sandbags, dumpster diving and more.

Headwaters Relief will host a post-race party including food, music and presentations by emergency responders, including our canine friends from the MN Search and Rescue Dog Association.

Headwaters Relief’s Disaster Dash will also help raise awareness about emergency preparation and also honor National Preparedness Month in September 2015.
