MINNESOTA — President Donald Trump Monday tweeted that he had a productive call with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Earlier this month, at Walz's request, Trump declared a major disaster in Minnesota and ordered federal assistance for the state over the new coronavirus.

Trump's optimistic tweet came just three days after his call to "liberate Minnesota." That tweet, which was posted Friday, coincided with a protest outside the governor's mansion where demonstrators called for Walz to "reopen" the economy.
