Twin Cities News Anchor Responds To 'Lose 10 Pounds' Letter
Unfortunately, sometimes rude letters, like the one Fox 9 morning anchor Alix Kendall received recently, make their way into the mailbag.
TWIN CITIES, MN — Television news anchors, like many people who work in the spotlight, often receive mail, emails and online messages from fans. Unfortunately, sometimes rude letters, like the one Fox 9 morning anchor Alix Kendall received recently, also make their way into the mailbag.
The note addressed to Kendall read "YOU NEED TO LOSE 10 POUNDS."
Kendall posted the note on Facebook, sarcastically noting the "awesome" part of her job as a news anchor. The post inspired a monsoon of support from fans and viewers, rushing to Kendall's side.

Puh - LEASE! You are perfect. :)
A day later, Kendall thanked everyone who wrote messages of support. She said she "really did laugh" after seeing the note, and said it "just shows the ridiculous comments women face who are in the public spotlight":
It makes me wonder, why do some focus on what we wear, our hair, waistline, or age? Did they hear any of the day's news? Useful information to start your day? Your positivity always brings me up. Don't worry. I have thick skin, but not everybody does, so I will continue to stand up for those who don't, in a business that can be tough on women. I've got your back...ladies!
