U Of M Offers Free Admission To Games For Federal Workers

Workers will receive free admission for themselves and a guest during the shutdown.

MINNEAPOLIS — As the longest government shutdown in Unites States history continues, University of Minnesota athletics is offering free admission to games for federal employees. Workers can receive free admission for themselves and a guest.

"In light of the ongoing federal government shutdown, University of Minnesota athletics is pleased to offer free admission to all Gopher home events to federal employees," the university said in a statement Thursday.

"The offer is valid for any regular-season event, based on availability, and available until the end of the government shutdown."

Federal employees should bring their government ID to the event ticket office on the day of the game.
