Washburn Choir Celebrates Return From New York City
Select students worked with Broadway professionals.

rang with joyful noise as the school's several choirs, directed by teacher Nancy Lee, celebrated their classmates' return from New York City. A select group of students gave concerts in and near the city, and were given the chance to work with professional Broadway singers on their musicianship.
"It was amazing," exclaimed Dominica Asberry-Lindquist. "You have a lot of people critiquing you, but (criticisms from professional singers) were the most meaningful critiques."
The experience also opened some students eyes.

"It was good seeing what (professional singers') window on the profession looks like," especially for students who want to explore a career in music, said Coltrane Johnson.
