• Stewartville Public Schools mulls over option of asking voters for an operating levy (postbulletin.com) — Stewartville Public Schools is considering asking voters for a new operating levy to help close budget gaps and avoid deeper cuts in coming years. Board members reviewed three levy options that could raise $500,000 to $1 million annually, after already approving up to $450,000 in reductions for 2026-27 and more than $2.5 million in cuts over three years. District leaders cite inflation, flat state aid, and declining enrollment as key pressures.
