• Bridge sealing on SE Minnesota state highways begins next month; 34 bridges scheduled for work in Mower and Olmsted counties (kaaltv.com) — Drivers in Stewartville should prepare for lane closures on the Highway 63 bridge over the North Branch Root River starting May 4 as MnDOT seals cracks and joints. The work is part of a larger project on 34 bridges in Olmsted and Mower counties, with some full closures elsewhere and expected completion in August, so plan extra time and check 511 for updates. 
• Organizations across Olmsted County pitch in with tornado relief efforts (kaaltv.com) — Stewartville residents hit by Friday’s tornadoes are being supported by local relief efforts after injuries and significant damage in town and nearby Marion Township. The American Red Cross, area churches, and local officials are coordinating emergency supplies, shelter options, and recovery resources, while residents are urged to contact county emergency management for help or to offer assistance.
