Are We Doing All We Can for Our Veterans?

State Rep. Bob Dettmer (R- Forest Lake) went on the record last week questioning the priorities in omnibus capital investment bill HF270, and he urged for more spending for veterans.
"If you just go through the bonding bill and have to really prioritize, are we really really doing what we should be doing for our men and women who have served our country?," Dettmer said. "I really feel that the perception out there is that we're not. I think that if you look at what we're putting money into: museums, state trails, sculpture gardens, nature centers and so forth. I think our men and women that have served our country over the years really deserve better."
