Antique Home Music Exhibit Opens

To celebrate the new antique home music exhibit at the Warden’s House Museum, Scott Holthus will be visiting the museum on Sunday, August 12 at 2 p.m. He will present a sample of toe-tapping pre-World War I records among other early 20th century music. The musical afternoon will be prefaced by a short presentation on the history of record players. This event is free and open to the public.

Holthus is an expert on late 19th century and early 20th century home music players. The Vintage Music Company, which he owns and operates in Minneapolis, is one of the last remaining businesses in the county dedicated solely to selling and repairing pre-1950s record players.

This event will be held at the Warden’s House museum located at 602 North Main Street in Stillwater which is owned and operated by the Washington County Historical Society.
