First Presbyterian Church's Alternative Gift Market -- Gifts that make a difference!
In case you haven't heard, the Alternative Gift Market (AGM) at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater is having its 18th anniversary this year! Come shop on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, November 24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Every dollar spent at the market does double duty. Because of everyone who has purchased even one gift at the AGM in the last 17 years, First Pres has raised loads of money for people in need locally and all over the world! It's the place to find gifts for those people in your life who are tough to shop for, who have everything or who need nothing. We have fair trade gifts of artisan crafts, jewelry, baskets, food, locally made eco-friendly reusable gift bags and more! And for those people who just don’t want more stuff, you can make donations in their name to many non-profits.
Vendors include: Bead for Life, Equal Exchange, Ganesh Himal Trading, Global Crafts, Global Mamas, Handcrafting Justice, Lucuma Designs, Rebuild Globally, Red Lake Nation Foods, SERRV International, Turkish Scarf Project, White Earth Land Recovery Project and Women's Bean Project.
The Non-Profit Organizations that will be represented are: Christian Solidarity International, Church World Service, Compatible Technology International, Daylight Center and School, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer Project, Kenya Water Project, Medical Benevolence Foundation, Northside Women's Space, Open Arms, Solid Ground (East Metro) Birthday Bags, Valley Friendship Club and Valley Outreach.
