Win the chance to get your story told through the art of cinematic videography!
Some of you who’ve read my posts in the past about the people behind local small businesses know that my passion is to tell their stories through the art of cinematic videography. I haven’t blogged in quite a long time as this past summer I was busy not only running the Street Treats Ice Cream Truck, but also launching my new videography brand, Storyteller Videography.
My 28 year interest in videography, which started in my senior year at SAHS, led me to start a post production business after my teaching career in St. Paul. Because life sometimes throws us curveballs we can only hit if we adapt, I’m extremely excited to “adapt” and put my video skills to work to create deeper, more meaningful wedding, business and family films. I believe everyone loves a good story, especially one they can sit back and watch! With today’s technology, it’s easier to tell these stories through video! No longer is a $10,000-a-day production company needed to create inspiring digital films! Even “small footprint” companies such as mine can effectively engage an audience through skillful use of cameras, editing and of course great storytelling techniques!

With this in mind, I am launching my first annual “It Must Be Told” contest. The best story I can find either locally, or in the greater Twin Cities or western Wisconsin area is the object of my search. But I need your help! I’m inviting readers of the Patch to share one of the many incredible stories we have in this valley. The winner, as selected by Facebook fans and e-mail responses will receive the chance to work with me over the coming months to effectively tell the winning story through the art of digital video. It will then be shared with the community this summer!
