Guide: FFXIV ARR Sastasha Dungeon

After a period of relative silence following the Calamity, the Serpent Reavers have once again taken to terrorizing the inland hamlets of La Noscea, killing the men, kidnapping the women and children, plundering the storehouses, and burning what little they leave behind(Final Fantasy XIV Gil). For years, it was not known how the pirates were able to raid areas so far from the coast, until a local shepherd sighted a band of painted ruffians entering the Sastasha Seagrot, carrying large quantities of sacks and crates. Could it be that there is more to this cave than meets the eye?

Sastasha Seagrot is a leveling dungeon found within the Western La Noscea area and is intended for players between level 15 and 17. Any player above 17 will be level synced to 17 upon entry to the dungeon. As Sastasha Seagrot is the first dungeon in which you get access to the difficulty is quite low.

Levels: 15 to 17

Location: Western La Noscea (x:28 y:21)

Bosses: Chopper | Captain Madison | Denn the Orcatoothed

Chopper Fight

Chopper is a easy fight. He constantly delivers blows while occasionaly doing a ground AOE attack that can be avoided.

Captain Madison Fight

You will actually fight Captain Madison twice. Both times he runs before dying, yet rewards loot. He is yet another simple fight. He starts with adds, and may summon a couple more. Be sure for damage and tank to focus on killing the extra guards first for easy play.

Denn the Orcatoothed Fight

The final boss of the dungeon, Orcatooth kills Captain Madison for his actions, and begins the fight. At first, it seems just tank n spank. But watch the grates on the ground closely(buy cheap FFXIV Gil). Soon after the firght starts the holes will begin to “unnaturally ripple”. Preferably damage, someone needs to go to the grate and interact with it for a few seconds. This will keep any extra monsters from appearing. Even though that is the fight, it can be possible to survive missing almost every ripple.
