STILLWATER, MINN- The 29th annual Fall Colors Fine Art & Music Festival is set to kick off in North Lowell Park, downtown Stillwater on October 5th- 6th from 10am-5pm (Saturday) and 10am-4pm (Sunday). Mick Sterling will headline the event, and RAMM w/ Paul Mayasich, CRANKSHAFT and Gypsy Mania Hot Club will have performances throughout the two-day festival.
Dolly Parker, Event Manager of the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce believes the lineup for the two-day festival is ideal.
“We have a well-rounded and outstanding lineup of talent coming to the festival,” said Parker. “All four bands are amazing and offer a range of musical talent and style. We tried to cater this event to music lovers and I think with these bands we accomplished our goal.”
All four bands have been featured in multiple music festivals across the Midwest, and together have been performing music for a combined 50+ years.
Mick Sterling, will celebrate his 33rd year in the music business this year. CRANKSHAFT has been writing and performing music as a traditional one-man band for a consecutive five years now. Since launching his music career in 2008 CRANKSHAFT has quickly rose to the top of the Twin Cities music scene and is consistently described as “one of the best and most interesting roots, rock and blues acts playing around town these days.”
RAMM w/ Paul Mayasich has been described as “the perfect mix of American music in all its shapes and forms,” including classic, Motown, R&B, funk, rock & roll, Americana and blues. The trio has been playing together locally for the past 10+ years and makes a lasting impression every set.
Gypsy Mania Hot Club Quartet is the creation of longtime bandleader and guitar stylists Glen Helgeson, who is known for pulling together the “stars of the Minnesota music scene.” The ensemble includes the unmistakable mastery of jazz violinist Gary Schulte, plus blinding solos from guitarist Reynold Philipsek, Glen Helgeson and bass work from Matt Senjem.
