Higher Rates And New Limitations for Stillwater Garbage and Recycling

If you recycle or use the city's garage services in Stillwater, your bill is about to get bigger.

If you recycle or use the city's garage services in Stillwater, your bill is about to get bigger. The city of Stillwater has entered into a five-year agreement with Waste Management Garbage, Recycling and Yard Waste Services, and there are a few changes in the contract that will affect residents.

Annual rates will increase 2.5 percent, according to a post on the city of Stillwater Facebook page. Curbside pickup will be limited to 3 appliance, 4 consumer electronics, and 2 bulk items. Anything additional will be charged $15.

Curbside trash and recycling service is arranged by residents directly with Waste Management online. Recycling is collected every other week. You will receive a Recycling cart from Waste Management. Recycling carts can be ordered in several sizes for no additional charge.
