Walking to Defeat ALS in Memory of Dr. Pamela Barshack

Dear Friends,
On Saturday | September 21, 2013, I'm joining hundreds of walkers for
The ALS Association's Walk to Defeat ALS®.   I need your support to make my efforts really matter!

I am walking in memory of my good friend and fellow veterinarian, Dr. Pamela Barshack. Pam lost her battle with ALS on November 18, 2006. Her life and how she lived with the disease  is an inspiration to us all.  We can't bring Pam back or any of the other wonderful people we have lost to ALS but we can help by donating to research for a cure.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. It affects the motor neurons in a person's brain and spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the muscles waste away. Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. Upon diagnosis, doctors give ALS patients only 2 to 5 years to live.

That's why I'm walking for those who can't. My personal fundraising goal is $1000, and I hope you'll help me reach it. By making a one-time, tax-deductible donation, you can truly make a difference in the fight against ALS. Just click the button below to visit my online fundraising website and make a donation.

Any amount you feel comfortable giving is deeply appreciated. Every dime makes a difference! With your support, we can make a positive impact today in the lives of those living with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

To Donate

Sincerely,

Dr.Ginger Garlie
