Next time you experience rush-hour traffic in and around Bayport, you'll have a number to put on it.
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, a new report by the U.S. Census Bureau puts Crystal as the biggest "job magnet" in the Twin Cities, with a 136 percent daily net gain in population from commuting. Meanwhile, "bedroom communites" such as Cottage Grove lose population during the workday.
The data comes from the American Community Survey, which samples 250,000 households every month and uses sophisticated analysis techniques to extrapolate those results into community-wide trends.
