Cedar Lake Area Sewer Improvements Project Construction Public Information Meeting Scheduled for March 27

ST. PAUL—March 5, 2013— Minneapolis and St. Louis Park residents and businesses are invited to attend a public
information meeting regarding construction for the Cedar Lake Area Sewer Improvements Project, which includes installation of a new regional sanitary sewer forcemain in the Cedar-Isles-Dean Neighborhood of Minneapolis, and the Fern Hill and Triangle Neighborhoods of St. Louis Park.

 

The public information meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Centrum Room at
Jones-Harrison Residence, 3700 Cedar Lake Ave., Minneapolis. The current construction schedule, anticipated traffic impacts and other project information will be provided. Project staff will be on hand to discuss the project with attendees and answer any questions (no formal presentation will be held).

The Cedar Lake Area Sewer Improvements Project is a Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) project and is part of the Hopkins System Improvements Project Facility Plan, which replaces portions of the existing Hopkins-St. Louis Park-Minneapolis regional sanitary sewer to improve reliability.

Major construction for the Minneapolis and St. Louis Park areas is currently scheduled to begin in early April and be

The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning organization for the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan
area. The council runs the regional bus and light rail system and Northstar commuter rail, collects and treats wastewater, coordinates regional water resources, plans regional parks and administers funds that provide housing
opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. The Council board is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Governor.
