Great Corporate/School/Church Group Volunteer Opportunities at Bridging

Looking for an active and meaningful group volunteer opportunity?

Organize a volunteer project at your workplace, school, faith-based organization or community club. Immediately impact a family in need by lending a hand. Groups range from 5-25+ and generally spend three hours on-site. We require all volunteer to be 1 years of age or older in our warehouse.

TYPICAL PROJECTS INCLUDE: Sorting through donated goods, loading and unloading trucks, rolling linens, and stocking shelves for client shopping. Specific projects will be determined on the day you arrive, based on inventory and the final size of your group.

WHEN CAN I BOOK A GROUP PROJECT: Book year-round. Pick a date, time and location for service. All projects must be scheduled in advance; Monday-Thursday between 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. or on Friday and Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. No Sunday or evening shifts available.

Bridging was founded in 1987 with the vision that no child should have to sleep on the floor. We are an organization with a simple concept: we collect quality furniture and household goods that people no longer need and reuse them by distributing them to families in need...and, incidentally, prevent these items from going to the landfill. Bridging partners with over 160 different social service agencies in Minnesota to provide this service. Over 115 families per week use our facilities, each receiving between 20 and 25 items with a thrift shop value of approximately $2,000. Bridging is the largest furniture bank program in the nation. Last year, Bridging served over 14,000 people and distributed over $13 million of free furniture and household goods.
