Award Winning Stylist Derek Wood Brings New Energy and Gorgeous Looks

(ST. LOUIS PARK, MN – JANUARY 24, 2013) – STRAND, the Metro area’s freshest full-service hair and beauty salon, made its debut on January 22nd, at 5600 West 36th Street in St. Louis Park. Featuring 10 hair and beauty stations, two pedicure chairs and two manicure stations, STRAND offers a full-range of services that includes cuts and colors, highlights and blowouts.  Nail services include manicures, pedicures, and polish applications.  Facial waxing, beard trims and three professional hair care product lines round out the STRAND experience.

Wood began his career in the metro area and has taught color and cut techniques across the country.  Derek has always maintained his vision of bringing the best talent, products and atmosphere to a single location. STRAND is the realization of Wood’s vision of a salon that reflects a true client-centric experience.

 

“We've trained and educated all of our stylists to deliver a complete cut and color experience that is as unique as each individual who visits us,” said Wood.  “We take tremendous pride in our clients looking and feeling incredible.”

 

Committed To Community

STRAND has implemented a community giving program that dedicates a percentage of net proceeds to local non-profit organizations. The first recipient will be STEP, the St. Louis Park Emergency Program that provides food and clothing to those in need.

 

“It’s important to the entire STRAND team that we honor our place in the community by finding ways to give back to the community,” Wood said.

 

STRAND is the latest new business to come to Hoigaard Village along the fast-growing 36th Street and Highway 100 area in St. Louis Park.
