Benilde-St. Margaret’s School is pleased to be offering 18 different summer camps this year. In addition to numerous sports camps, other camps are being offered to students wanting to focus on service, science or the arts.
New this year, Art Camp will let participants design their own t-shirt or take a picture with a paint can? Each day will involve a different medium and a new masterpiece to take home. This course, from June 10-13, is for boys and girls entering grades 4-7 and will be taught by two members of the Benilde St.-Margaret’s art department.
Science Camp allows students to explore the world of chemistry, physics, and engineering with a fun, hands-on way. Participants will mix chemicals, explore how things work, and build machines according to their own design. Science Camp will run July 22-25 for boys and girls entering grades 4-7.

A Christian service camp, called “Fun in the Son,” will focus on the servant leadership qualities of Jesus. Camp will include discussions, service trips, games, art projects, music, and a prayer service. This four-day session (July 15-18) for boys and girls is divided into a 6th- 8th grade track and a 9th-10th grade track: Fun in the Son II, a more intensive service camp.
An orchestra camp—Summer Strings—is open to students at the beginning level, as well as those who have already played a stringed instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass). This camp, being held July 15-19, will be led by Benilde-St. Margaret’s orchestra teacher Kristina Lantz and other string specialists. It is open to boys and girls entering grades 4-7.
