The boys soccer team advanced to the Class A state semifinals with a 2-1 win over Cloquet-Esko-Carleton on Thursday at St. Cloud State University. The Red Knights advanced to face St. Paul Academy and Summit School on Monday. The game starts at 8 a.m. at the Metrodome. On Thursday, C-E-C (14-4-2) opened up the game with a score by Landen Straub at the 11:04 mark to take a 1-0 lead. BSM (17-2-1) responded with a goal by Brendan Schember at the 14:01 mark. Jake Horton notched the game-winner 17:05 into the first half, taking a pass from Matteo Potter and finding the goal. Red Knights' goalkeeper Kevin Lebahn made six saves on the night. BSM had 10 shots on goal.
