Blotter: St. Louis Park Police Respond to Thefts, Gun Threat
Two of the thefts occurred at apartment buildings in the same neighborhood.

The following incidents occurred between April 17 and April 22, and were included in the St. Louis Park Police Department's most recent weekly report, sent out on April 27. Specific details come from individual incident reports maintained by the department.
April 17 – A bike was reported stolen from an apartment’s garage in the 400 block of Shelard Parkway. An unknown suspect or suspects reportedly entered the garage through an unlocked side door. The bike is worth roughly $480.
April 18 – A 39-year-old woman called police after she saw two teenagers apparently trying to break into a residence in the 3400 block of Quebec Avenue South. The woman said the two ran off, and police were unable to locate any suspects. Some damage was reported to the building but no entry was gained.

April 19- Police responded to a burglary alarm at an apartment in the 270 block of Shelard Parkway. Two TVs, worth $400 each, were reported stolen from the apartment’s fitness room. No suspects have been identified.
April 20 - Police were called to the 3900 block of Cedar Shore Drive after a reported theft. A 44-year-old man, who was doing construction work on a home, said several of his tools were stolen over the past few days. The total value of the stolen items is roughly $1,000. No suspects have been identified.

April 20 – A 26-year-old male reported that several items, worth roughly $600 total, were stolen from his car, which was parked at . $100 of damage was also done to the window, which was smashed out. No suspects have been identified.
April 20- A 65-year-old woman reported that her 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra had been stolen from a private parking space in the 4900 block of Minnetonka Boulevard. It is unclear how entry was gained into the vehicle, and no suspects have been identified.
April 22 – Two men, ages 22 and 23, reported that another man pulled a gun on them. The reported victims said they were pulling onto Quentin Avenue South from Minnetonka Boulevard when another car pulled in front of them and blocked them off. A black man in a black T-shirt with dreadlocks then pulled a gun on them, but the other two men said they quickly sped away. They reported that the suspect vehicle was tan and possibly a 2000-2004 Grand Am, but the men didn’t catch a look at the license plate. They also said they didn’t get a good look at the man with the gun, though they did say they hadn’t seen him before. No arrests have been made.
April 22 - A burglary was reported at . An unknown suspect or suspects reportedly broke a lock after business hours and stole 40 old batteries. The lead in the batteries is worth a total of roughly $500. The same day, a battery-testing device valued at $500 was stolen from outside the store. It is unclear if the incidents are related.
April 22 – A burglary was reported at Stonewood Design (7407 Wayzata Boulevard). Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect or suspects broke into a back storage shed and stole two gasoline-powered water pumps, worth a total of $1,000. A $500 miter saw was also stolen.
