The Chester Bird Legion baseball team, which has players from , will not be advancing out of pool play at the 2011 Gopher Classic. The Birds lost their first two games on Friday, 13-4 to Alexandria, MN, and 7-5 to East Ridge (Woodbury), MN. Chester Bird did better on Saturday, knocking off West Warwick, RI, 10-9, before losing to Sioux Falls, SD, 15-0. Chester Bird's final pool-play game will be Sunday at 6 p.m. versus the Redhawks of Rochester, MN. The game will be at BSM.
