The girls tennis squad's season came to an end on a damp Monday in Edina, as the eighth-seeded Orioles fell 5-0 to the top-seeded Hornets in a rain-shortened Section 6AA quarterfinal. Dark skies were threatening for the entire match and finally opened up an hour in, bringing a halt to the contest.  With Edina having clinched a victory, the remainder of the seven-match string was not needed to be played out as the 14-time defending state champions advanced to the sectional semifinals. Selected members of the Park squad will compete in the sectional individual tournament on Oct. 17-18 at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville.
