Edina Brand Launches Smarter Jumpsuit Design

Minneapolis — KRE Prime, an Edina-based adaptive brand, is putting a practical twist on one of fashion’s most versatile and often impractical, staples. KRE Prime is an adaptive brand focused on style, accessibility and innovative design. The jumpsuit includes one base pant and two interchangeable tops, allowing wearers to create multiple looks from a single set. Each piece can be worn separately or connected with a discreet zipper to form a full jumpsuit. Grady said the inspiration came from personal experience. Although she appreciated the clean, minimal look of jumpsuits, she found them difficult to wear in everyday situations. “I wanted something that felt effortless but also worked with the way people actually live,” she said. “It needed to be beautiful, but also practical.” That balance extends to accessibility. The design allows the bottom portion to be removed without taking off the top, offering a more flexible and comfortable option for people with a range of mobility needs. Made from structured stretch fabric using recycled materials, the jumpsuit is designed to hold its shape while remaining comfortable enough for all-day wear. It is intended to transition easily from work to evening. Although KRE Prime operates as a digital-first brand, its roots are local. Grady, who launched the company in part to honor her late sister, said she wanted to create clothing that feels inclusive, thoughtful, and easy to wear. Shop on Saturday at Cub Foods at Knollwood and donate to STEP (St. Louis Park Emergency Program) right at the store! STEP serves over 10% of our SLP neighbors, and over the summer months, that number rises, especially among our youngest community members. STEP will serve an additional 300 children during June, July and August. STEP has also opened a new Youth Food Pantry in partnership with other youth serving organizations on Tuesdays from 3-5pm for unaccompanied and homeless teens. No appointments are needed and youth from all over the metro are able to receive food during this time.  With the increase in use of STEP's food and services, your donations are especially appreciated at this time.  In addition to donating at Cub Foods on Saturday, donations are welcome anytime at STEP during their weekday hours.

Dads of Down Syndrome (DODs) is launching its first annual “DODs Days” music festival fundraiser! The free outdoor festival will feature an energetic lineup of live bands and DJs, a Kids Rave, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and a beer garden with beverages provided by NOLO’s Kitchen, all in support of the organization’s mission to build community and empower fathers raising children with Down syndrome and differing abilities. Admission to DODs Days is free, though attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
The festival will feature a full afternoon and evening of live entertainment, including performances by:
<ul><li>Twin Star Rocket</li><li>The White Keys</li><li>DJ Benny Nord and Up! Entertainment will host an epic “Kids’ Rave” designed especially for young attendees</li><li>Marvelous</li></ul>
Beverages curated by NOLO’s Kitchen will include beer, wine, and specialty cocktails and mocktails. Several food trucks will be onsite during the event, including Parlour, Red’s Savoy, and Revival.
St. Louis Park-based Steel Toe Brewing has also created a custom “DODs Hazy IPA” which will debut at DODs Days.
DODs Days will also bring together several organizations that support families and individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental differences.
