Game of the Week: NSC Swimming Relays

St. Louis Park and Benilde-St. Margaret's kick off their girls swimming and diving seasons Thursday in an outdoor meet at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

ON THE LINE

In the season’s first meet, teams across the North Suburban Conference will get a chance to size one another up in a rare outdoor competition.

 

SWIMMERS TO WATCH

  • - St. Louis Park

Ostrom is the defending Class A 100 breaststroke champion, finishing with a 1:05.53 swim at the last year.

  • Hannah Hein - St. Louis Park

Hein finished seventh in the 100 backstroke last year at the Class A state meet as a sophomore.

  • Catherine Cole, Megan Pohle, Amanda Semler, Emily Egge - Benilde-St. Margaret’s

This group of four won the consolation final in the 200 freestyle relay during last year’s state meet. Pohle is a sophomore this year, and the rest are juniors.

  • Emily Egge - Benilde-St. Margaret’s

Egge, a junior, took 13th overall in both the 100 and the 200 freestyles during last year’s state meet.
