Hennepin County Teen Dies From COVID-19

Only four days have gone by since the previous teen COVID-19 death in Minnesota, which was reported Friday.

A fourth teenager from Minnesota has died from COVID-19, the state Department of Health reported Tuesday. The teen was between ages 15-19 and lived in Hennepin County.

No other details were released about the case.

Minnesota's First Omicron Patient: 'Get The Booster'

Last week, Minneapolis resident Pete McGinn became the state's first confirmed case of the new COVID-19 variant known as omicron.

McGinn developed mild symptoms on Nov. 22 after he traveled to New York City for an anime convention at the Javits Center, which took place from Nov. 19-21.
