Local Tennis Players to Compete in Section Tourney

The Section 6AA boys tennis individual and doubles championships begin Tuesday at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center.

The event starts at 8 a.m. Tuesday and resumes with the semifinals and championship matches on Wednesday.

In singles, St. Louis Park’s Brody Ryan will begin competition against No. 8 Lucas Ciabattoni of Holy Angels, while the Orioles’ Aaron Goodman will face Kevin Ruiz of Minneapolis Southwest. 

For Benilde-St. Margaret’s, No. 7 Andrew Boley will face Robbinsdale Cooper’s Vaughn Rowles, and BSM’s Jimmy Borin will face Minneapolis South’s Henry Bergmann.

In doubles, St. Louis Park’s Joshua Anderson and Zach Swanson will face Robbinsdale Cooper’s Ian Jones and Peter Nguyen in the first round, while Karl Switaala and Jon Ribnick will face Cooper’s Joseph Lavalier and Dustin Schultz.

For BSM, Carter Eckerline and Jack Jablonski will face Minneapolis Southwest’s Vaughan and Paguyo, while Keegan Swenson and David Jarvis will take on Wayzata’s Michael Anderson and Ketan Kulkami.
