Police Respond to Fight at Local Bar
A man also reported that valuable medical equipment was stolen from his car while he was working out.

The following incidents occurred between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11, and were included in the most recent weekly report, sent out on Jan. 20. Specific details come from individual incident reports maintained by the department.
Jan. 7: Police responded to an altercation at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar, 1623 Park Place. A 24-year-old man told officers that a 22-year-old woman had punched him in the face. The woman said the man had approached her aggressively and swore at her. She said she raised her hands in a defensive motion and may have made contact with him. No one was seriously hurt, and neither person pressed charges.
Jan. 8: Officers were dispatched to after an alarm went off. Police found an intoxicated 57-year-old man inside the bowling alley. He told officers that he had entered because the building was unlocked and he needed to use a phone. Officers found no signs of forced entry, and nothing was reportedly disturbed or stolen, so the man was not charged with burglary. He was, however, cited for trespassing.

Jan. 9: A 39-year-old man reported that valuable medical equipment was stolen from his car while he was working out at . The man said when he went to his vehicle after the workout, he found a rear window smashed out. Missing were a stethoscope, valued at $350, as well as an ophthalmology textbook, specialty pens and a designer bag, valued collectively at $950. No suspects have been identified.
Jan. 11: A 28-year-old woman reported to police the theft of her purse, which she said happened three days earlier at the . The woman said her purse was stolen from underneath a table at the amusement venue. In addition to the $145 bag, the thief also made out with $923 in cash. No suspects have been identified.
