Postponements Plague Local Squads
St. Louis Park and Benilde-St. Margaret's pressed on with spring seasons on Thursday after snow wiped out Wednesday's schedule.

Thursday was far from an ideal day for local teams to compete, but after contending with the after-effects of a snowfall a day earlier, and took what they could get as several squads got their games in on another frosty afternoon and evening.
Benilde-St. Margaret's Baseball: Red Knights 6, St. Francis 5
Pushing across the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Benilde-St. Margaret's baseball team claimed a 6-5 defeat of North Suburban Conference rival St. Francis at home on Thursday.

Jimmy Heck took the victory after pitching the top of the seventh in relief of starter Marcus Barone, with Gabe McDonald driving in two runs and scoring twice after going 1-for-3 at the plate while Patrick Daly went 3-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored.
The Red Knights improved to 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference with the victory and are scheduled to host St. Louis Park at 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys Lacrosse: Red Knights 11, Bloomington Jefferson 3
The Benilde-St. Margaret's boys lacrosse team improved to 4-0 this spring with a 11-3 victory against visiting Bloomington Jefferson in a non-conference contest on Thursday.
Will Hoesley leads the Red Knights with 12 goals, with Christian Horn recording nine goals and Taylor Topousis netting five goals.
Defending state champion BSM heads to Eden Prairie for a 6 p.m. game on Monday.
St. Louis Park Girls Lacrosse: Orioles 13, Orono 8
A 13-8 defeat of visiting Orono on Thursday night leveled the St. Louis Park girls lacrosse team's record at 2-2.
