SLIDESHOW: BSM Girls Cagers Fall to DeLaSalle

The opening game of a home varsity doubleheader Tuesday — the girls and boys teams faced DeLaSalle back-to-back — lived up to it's billing.  A late surge by the girls Red Knights squad kept the game in doubt until only a few minutes were left, but the Islanders iced the game on the free throw line, eventually overcoming BSM, 54-50. Coming into the game, the Islanders were ranked second in Minnesota in Class 3A, while the Red Knights — the defending Class 3A state champions — were third.
