The softball team capitalized on Fridley's mistakes on Tuesday afternoon to build a 10-0 lead. The Red Knights batters were patient at the plate and drew numerous walks to put themselves on the base paths. The Fridley pitchers were then forced to throw strikes, allowing the BSM offense to drive in those base runners. Late in the game, however, Fridley mounted a comeback to cut the lead to four, but the Red Knights got back into the groove of tough pitching and defense to take the 11-7 home victory. The Red Knights now have nearly a week off, as they don't take to the field again until next Monday for a road match-up with Chisago Lakes at 4:30 p.m.
