St. Louis Park boys swimming and diving junior Erik McCague competed in Friday's Class AA state preliminary meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, and he qualified to compete at Saturday's state finals. McCague competed in the 100-yard butterfly and finished 12th overall. He will compete in Saturday's consolation heat. Saturday's event begins at 6 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.   ST. LOUIS PARK PRELIMINARY RESULTS 100 butterfly: 12. Erik McCague (53.98).
