Delbert Huber: Tim Larson Was Going to 'Do Us In'

He testified for two hours Thursday afternoon in the trial of his son, Tim Huber, charged with murdering Tim Larson of Albertville in 2011. The jury also heard his 911 call, the West Central Times reported.

 

A Kandiyohi County District Court jury heard from Delbert Huber Thursday afternoon—both from the witness stand as well as in his recorded 911 call reporting the 2011 shooting death of Tim Larson of Albertville.

That's according to a West Central Times update on the first day of testimony in the trial of Delbert Huber's son, Tim Huber:

"He (Larson) was going to 'do us in' and that meant killing us," the elder Huber said. "I took my rifle along for protection, figuring that he was going to shoot us. It went off accidentally." ...

"He did lots of stuff to harass us," Huber said. "It must have been him. He was mad at us."

Earlier Thursday, Larson's widow Debra testified that Tim Larson had told her by phone the night before his death that Tim Huber would not leave his Kandiyohi County property.

Delbert Hubert pled guilty to second-degree murder in 2012 and is serving a 30-year sentence for killing Larson.
