Education Officials To Join Minnesota Department Of Health News Conference To Discuss Fall School Plans

At 2 p.m. today, the Minnesota Department of Health will be conducting its daily COVID-19 briefing. MDH officials will be joined by Minnesota Department of Education leaders. The expectation is that there will be discussion of new fall planning guidance for K-12 schools with Deputy Education Commissioner Heather Mueller joining the MDH briefing. There has been debate as to whether students will be going back to the classroom in September or if online distance learning will continue. The conference call is going to be carried live on local television stations and numerous streaming platforms.
