St. Michael's Cash Wise Liquor Expands and Remodels

Coborn’s Inc. recently opened its newest and largest store in St. Michael. The store sits on the same property they have been in since 2004 however the store has expanded 6,400 square feet making the store a whopping 17,000 square feet.

Customers at Cash Wise will find more than 1,200 varieties of beer and 2,500 varieties of wine.

Beyond product assortment, customers now enjoy a Tasting Center, where they can sample everything from traditional wines to the latest crafts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

“The St. Michael community is growing rapidly, and we simply outgrew our former space,” said Coborn’s President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Coborn. “We have very loyal customers and we are thankful for their support over the years. That’s why we are so thrilled to give them the extra variety and selection they want, at the same great low prices.”

“All of our customers–whether they shopped with us at our last location or not–walk into this store and are blown away by our assortment, size and low prices,” said Store Manager Wade Von Eschen. “They’re just wowed. This is destination shopping.”

The once-crowded aisles are now 10-feet wide, allowing room for customers to really browse and make decisions.

In addition to Von Eschen, there are two assistant managers, Verna Otto and Brian Ziolkowski. In all, the store has15 local employees.

This week is American Craft Beer Week, the annual celebration of small and independent craft brewers and American craft culture. Cash Wise is hosting a Tasting Event Friday May 18 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Cash Wise Liquor is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
