University Of Minnesota Extension Hosting Crop Management Input Seminar Will Take Place On December 4
At 10:30 a.m., The Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce will present the AG Person of the Year Award.

The Annual University of Minnesota Extension Crop Management Input Seminar will be held virtually Friday, Dec. 4. The online Zoom seminar is free, but preregistration is required by logging on to https://z.umn.edu/2021cropseminar.

The program runs from 8:45 a.m. to noon. At 9 a.m., Grain Marketing Economist at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Farm Financial Management will present “Grain Marketing Tips.” At 9:40 a.m., University of Minnesota Extension Integrated Pest Management Educator Bruce Potter will present “Insect and Disease Issues for 2021.”
At 10:30 a.m., The Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce will present the AG Person of the Year Award. At 10:45 a.m., University of Minnesota Nutrient Management Specialist Fabian Fernandez will present “Nutrient Management for Profit and Environmental Stewardship Given Current Conditions.”

The program concludes with a panel discussion “What’s Trending for Herbicide Traits in Minnesota Corn and Soybeans.” It will start at approximately 11:20 a.m. and will include Joe Ikley, North Dakota State University Extension Specialist/Weed Control, University of Minnesota Crops Extension Educator Jared Goplen and U of M Extension Crop Educator David Nicolai.
