• Council awards bid for Waconia Landings project (hometownsource.com) — Major street work is coming to the Landings neighborhoods off Waconia Parkway North this summer, after the city council awarded a $754,000 bid for mill-and-overlay projects. Waconia also secured $4.7 million in state bonding for Highway 5 upgrades next year, while a clean 2025 financial audit and a review of downtown parking enforcement rounded out the council’s recent meeting.
   

• 21-year-old killed in Carver County motorcycle crash (fox9.com) — A 21-year-old Waconia resident, Ryan Christopher Miller, died Sunday morning when his motorcycle left County Road 51 in Carver County and crashed north of Highway 212. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash and are asking anyone with information to contact the Carver County Sheriff’s Office.
