• Friendly Rider facility project moves forward after board approves bid (wadenapj.com) — Wadena County commissioners have approved a $2.93 million bid to demolish and replace the Friendly Rider transit facility in Wadena, with the county paying about 10% of the total project cost. Supporters say the mold-damaged building must be replaced to keep vital dial-a-ride service running, while one commissioner argues the project is government waste that will fuel higher property taxes.
